We provide primary medical care for West Chester University Students. Our primary care practitioners see students by appointment. A triage nurse will evaluate any walk-in student in order to assess the severity of illness.
We are well equipped to manage the illnesses and injuries common to a student population. When patients need more specialized care, they are referred to a Chester County Specialist or the Chester County Hospital. Please be advised that the cost of services rendered outside the student health center is the responsibility of the student. If a student participates with an HMO plan, approval may be required from the primary care physician to cover the cost of these services. It is the responsibility of each student to understand his or her insurance policy and bring a copy of the insurance card to school.
