University and Legal Consequences

West Chester University is a dry campus and violations, including students found to be in the possession of, under the influence of, and/or having open containers, are subject to University judicial action and may also be cited by University Public Safety. Possession of drug paraphernalia, use of any illegal or controlled substances are violations of the University Drug Policy. Again, students may be subject to both University judicial action and criminal charges. Any off-campus violation of local, state or federal laws will also result in University judicial action. Citations result in fines and loss of driver’s license.

WCU Judicial Sanctions Include:

Sanctions range from a disciplinary reprimand, disciplinary probation, suspension, up to an expulsion, and can include conditions such as alcohol/drug educational workshops, assessments, community service, fines, loss of housing and parental notification
