Summer Program -CLICK for Summer 08 Brochure

During the summer the Center provides an active child care program for elementary aged children, Grades K – 5.

Our summer programs are designed to provide a summer experience where each camper has an opportunity to build self-esteem, develop new skills, increase  community awareness and make new friends.

Our experienced staff consists of educators and WCU students pursuing degrees in Education, Psychology or other child related fields.

Big Team Program:  Our lower elementary program is for children completing grades K -2. This program is typically located in Goshen Hall classroom A on Church Street.  

Kids Klub Program:   This group is for children completing grades 3 -5. This program is typically housed in Goshen Hall classroom B on Church Street.

Schedule:  Each camper will participate in a weekly field trip off campus and daily swimming at North Campus pool. The weekly themes will include arts and crafts, science and nature discovery, and sports and games. Walking field trips will include visits to the University’s library, theater, art gallery and Student Union as well as the local parks and museums.

Hours:  Our summer camps begin with drop off between 7:45 – 8:45 AM. Pick up is no later than 4:15 PM.

Field trips occur once a week for each program with additional fees.
