Ms. Diane DeVestern
Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs
Ms. Diane DeVestern, Assistant Vice President for Students
Affairs, assists the Vice President with the management of the
Division and works directly with the following six departments:
Twardowski Career Development Center, Service-Learning and
Volunteer Programs, Judicial Affairs and Student Assistance,
Multicultural Affairs, Children’s Center, and Sykes Student
Union. In addition, 25% of the Assistant Vice for Student
Affairs’ time is assigned to the Division of Academic Affairs to
work collaboratively with faculty and academic administrators on
a variety of student success initiatives and special projects.
Other responsibilities include the coordination of the
Division’s assessment/program review process, planning committee
for the new Student Recreation Center, and various student
leadership recognition programs.
Ms. DeVestern
has been at West Chester University for 20 years. Prior to West
Chester, Diane worked in Ohio for 15 years at Miami University
and Bowling Green University. She has a B.S. Degree in
Psychology from the State University of New York at Oneonta and
a M.Ed. degree in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green
University.
Joyce Holste
Administrative Assistant
Joyce Holste has been with West Chester University since 2002. Before joining the Division of Student Affairs she held the position of Department Secretary for the Geology and Astronomy Department. Prior to coming to WCU, she worked for ten years with Coatesville Area School District and was involved with several committees and community service groups. Joyce comes to the Office of Judicial Affairs and Student Assistance with over 30 years of secretarial and administrative experience.
