The Asia Adams Violence Against Women Awareness Grant is funded by West Chester University in honor of a student, Asia Adams. On November 7, 2004, Asia was brutally tortured and murdered by a man she was dating and his friend. At the time of her murder, Asia was a junior at WCU majoring in Psychology and minoring in Women’s Studies.
The Asia Adams Violence Against Women Awareness Grant was developed in spring 2012 to help address the problem of violence against women in our community.
