MOTORPOOL/MAINTENANCE GARAGE

The Motor Pool maintains 19 vehicles for use by the campus community on an as-needed basis. The vehicles available for campus use are sedans, mini-vans, full-size vans, and a cargo van and pickup truck. Drivers must be University employees on official business and in possession of a valid driver’s license.

In addition to inspecting and maintaining the Motor Pool vehicles, the Maintenance Garage also provides service to approximately 75 additional services vehicles used around the campus. They also maintain the heavy equipment, tractors, and mowers used by Grounds Maintenance. The Garage maintains a compressed natural gas fueling site, and 24 WCU vehicles run on cleaner-burning natural gas. The sophisticated systems found on contemporary vehicles require an ever-increasing level of expertise by our service staff.
