OSR Advisory Council

Purpose of OSRAC

The OSRAC, comprised of faculty representatives from each of the five academic colleges at WCU and staff from divisions within the university, is designed to enhance the type and quality of services provided to faculty and staff in pursuit of external funding opportunities for research, curricula enhancement, teaching effectiveness, programs, fellowship, student scholarships, outreach, institutional advancement, creative activities, and other professional development initiatives.

The Council’s charge includes the following:

Provide advice/feedback to OSR staff pertaining to effective management of pre- and post-award services;
Recommend strategies for engaging faculty and staff in sponsored programs activities;
Encourage faculty and staff colleagues to consider pursuing external grants and contracts;
Mentor faculty and staff members interested in developing grant proposals for submission to external funding agencies.
