Who works at the WCU Writing Center?
The tutors who work at the writing center are currently graduate and undergraduate students at West Chester University. This year, many of the writing center tutors are pursuing degrees in English (including Teaching English as a Second Language); however, others are pursuing degrees in Communications, Public Health, Special Education, Psychology, and Philosophy. All tutors in the Writing Center have completed a mandatory course, Tutoring Writing, which prepares students in the theory and practice of writing center work and teaches effective techniques for tutoring students. Many of the tutors have also tutored at the writing center for one or two years, and have had experiences in teaching and other editing and writing jobs.

What can the Writing Center do for you?
The West Chester Writing Center hires qualified graduate and undergraduate students to help you improve papers, essays, research papers, and reports in all subjects. Tutors can also help you with resumes, job applications, and graduate school applications. The writing center tutors will help students create classroom or personal writing that is of higher quality.
