University Ambassadors
Mykal is a fourth year Health and Physical Education major with a minor in
Health Sciences. He grew up in the Poconos and graduated from Pocono Mountain
West High School in 2006. On campus, Mykal is the President of University
Ambassadors and Phi Epsilon Kappa. When Mykal isn’t busy with his organizations,
he loves to attend WCU sporting events, attend a free show or performance on
campus, or spend some quality time with his roommates. His favorite place on
campus is the Sykes Student Union because you can get something to eat, get some
school work done, get in a quick workout in the gym, or buy some new West
Chester gear from the bookstore.
Katie McCool is a junior Elementary Education major with a minor in music. She
grew up in Erdenheim, PA and attended Mount Saint Joseph Academy. Along with
being a Student Ambassador, Katie is the Executive Director of the Residence
Hall Association and is a member of the senate for the Student Government
Association. Katie absolutely loves West Chester University and couldn’t imagine
going anywhere else! She loves the beautiful campus and the perfect size that
allows her to have personal connections with teachers and students. Her favorite
place on campus is the Sykes Student Union because it is always buzzing with
students and activities.
Dan is a fourth year Marketing major with a minor in Business Geographics.
He spent his childhood in southwest Virginia and Newark, Delaware before moving
to Maryland in 1999. Dan graduated from C. Milton Wright High School in Bel Air,
Maryland in 2006. Aside from University Ambassadors, he is involved with out of
state recruitment for West Chester University. Dan’s favorite location on campus
is the F.H.G. Library so he can focus on completing his work in the afternoon
so he can watch his sports teams in the evening.
Devon is a sophomore pre-physical therapy and athletic training major at WCU. He
is from Hanover, PA and graduated from South Western High School. Besides
University Ambassadors Devon is involved in all of intramural sports here on
campus. Devon likes giving tours around campus because he can share his great
times at West Chester with what he hopes will be future students.
Natasha Blymier is third year account major, who is from Lancaster, PA. I am a
campus leader and the vice president of the women’s club soccer. I love
West Chester University for all its activities and opportunities it has to offer
everyone. My favorite place on campus is Lawrence by Einstein’s Bagels,
you not only can grab brain food, and it’s a great place for me to study
and meet friends.
Jen is a third year English Education Major from Havertown, Pennsylvania and
cannot get enough of West Chester University! Aside from giving tours on campus,
I am an Orientation Leader, the Publicity Chair for the English Club, and an
avid member of the service organization Circle K! One of my favorite spots on
campus is Starbucks, because it is a great place to hang out, meet for study
groups, and enjoy a delicious iced chai latte!
Lauren Perkins will graduate from West Chester University in the Spring of 2011
with a BS in Elementary Education. She is originally from Norristown,
Pennsylvania and graduated from Christopher Dock Mennonite High School in 2007.
When she is not giving tours, Lauren enjoys spending her time serving her school
as the Senator for the College of Education and participating in the multitude
of activities that West Chester University and the town have to offer! You will
most likely find her outside of Killinger hanging out and playing sports with
her friends.
Rachel is a sophomore music education major at WCU. She hails from Selinsgrove,
PA but loves it in West Chester. Besides being a University Ambassador, she is
also involved in MENC, the vice president of the Lutheran Student Association
and a sister of Sigma Alpha Iota. She thoroughly enjoys attending West Chester
University and feels it is the perfect size- small enough to provide a real
sense of community but big enough that there is always something to do.

Besides giving campus tours, he is the sports editor of the student newspaper
The Quad. He is also the sports director for the student radio station 91.7

Farrell Stadium (home of the football team) or Hollinger Field House (home of
the basketball teams).
