Academics - Bachelor of Science in Economics - Requirements
Admission Requirements
    In order to be eligible for acceptance into the Bachelor of Science in Economics, students must fulfill the following pre-business program requirements:

  1. Obtain a minimum grade of C or better in all of the following courses:

    1. Financial Accounting - ACC 201

    2. Principles of Macroeconomics - ECO 111

    3. Principles of Microeconomics - ECO 112

    4. Quantitative Business Analysis I - ECO 251

    5. Mathematics Requirement - MAT 105, MAT 107, MAT 108, MAT 110, or MAT 161

    6. Principles of Management - MGT 200

  2. A cumulative GPA of 2.50 or better

  3. Minimum number of credits earned: 48
Only pre-business students who meet the above requirements will be accepted into the Bachelor of Science in Economics program.

Retention Requirements

Students accepted into the major program are expected to maintain a 2.5 GPA in order to continue in the Bachelor of Science in Economics program.
