The Program

The MSA degree with a concentration in Leadership for Women (MSA:LW), offered by the Women's Studies program, enables the student to develop a mode of leadership appropriate to modern organizations in which women now exert considerable leadership. It is designed for the student who wishes to learn how to achieve leadership, or who needs to understand gender issues that relate to leadership in the business and organizational world. Courses in the program develop greater understanding about both the cultural forces that continue to support gender bias in some workplace situations, and the cultural and practical forces that encourage the inclusion of both sexes at all levels. See Women's Studies for further information.

The Curriculum

The MSA:LW is comprised of the 18 credit hour administration core courses and 18 credit hours of concentration courses.

Administrative Core (18 credits)

For administrative core course descriptions, please see the MSA Core.

Concentration Core (18 credits)

The student takes six courses selected in consultation with Dr. Millhous.
