Russian Poet Visit 2006
Through the offices of the Open World Forum, six poet translators were hosted by the West Chester University Poetry Center for a 2-week session. They shared their poetry with American audiences that included poets, translators, scholars and critics. The participants attended the West Chester University Poetry Conference where for five days they were immersed in poetry/translation discussions, gave readings of their own work, and listened to American poets read. They also had the opportunity to learn more about American culture, and publishing through their residencies in West Chester, Philadelphia, and New York City.
