Myong Cha Son Haiku Award
The Myong Cha Son Haiku Award recognizes poetic achievement among undergraduates enrolled in colleges/universities in the Delaware Valley region of Pennsylvania (Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties). Created by Kyle Spencer, and named for his mother-in-law, the award offers a $300 prize, and publication in a national literary journal.
The Myong Cha Son Haiku Award welcomes unpublished, original haiku for consideration in the competition. We ask that applicants adhere to the following guidelines.

The annual competition is open to all undergraduate poets who are enrolled in a college/university in the Delaware Valley (Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, or Philadelphia counties).

The submission should consist of a cover letter and one poem. Please put only the title of the poem at the top of the manuscript.

The author's name, address, e-mail address, and telephone number should be placed on the back of the manuscript.

All submissions must be postmarked no later than March 1, 2008.

Submitted poems will not be returned. For notification of contest results please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
