West Chester University Student Internship Opportunities

College Literature is a quarterly journal of scholarly criticism dedicated to serving the needs of college and university teachers by providing them with access to innovative ways of studying and teaching new bodies of literature and experiencing old literature in new ways.

College Literature offers an internship to seniors in the English Department at West Chester University .  The internship is available for three credits (8 hours/week) or six credits (16 hours/week).

The College Literature internship provides hands-on experience in publishing scholarly journals from soliciting manuscripts to the preparation of camera ready copy for the Printer.  Interns work with a number of computer programs including Quark Xpress, Adobe PhotoShop, Access and Microsoft Works.  In addition to evaluating and proofreading articles submitted for publication, interns also have an opportunity to hone their writing skills by working closely with the College Literature staff in corresponding with authors, book publishers, and reviewers.
