The Department of Languages and Cultures offers assistance in planning study in Guadeloupe in the Summer for interested advanced undergraduate and graduate students at the Media Langues Caraibes Institute. Classes are offered in French during the mornings, and there are numerous excursions around the island in the afternoons and evenings, including sites, markets, festivals. Students live with families and have opportunities for many meaningful contacts. Dr. Anne-Marie Moscatelli is coordinating the program for the department. She offers an orientation course on campus late May - early June on francophone culture, FRE 311-80 and FRE 520-80. Students will enroll directly at the Media Langues Caraibes Institute in Guadeloupe for 2, 4, or 6 week sessions, for 3 transfer credits for each two weeks of work.
Students will be responsible for their own travel arrangements and tuition fees at the Institute.
