Want to learn Chinese and be able to speak, read, and write in 20 days and earn credit this summer? Welcome aboard for Chinese 101 （and/or 102）！
This intensive program is open to everyone including local high school, college students and WCU students. For students who complete the program, a certificate will be issued to high school students and 3 credits will be granted to college students.
More people in the world speak Chinese than any other language. China is the second largest economy in the world and one of the largest trading partners of the United States. Many US companies do business in China and have long-term investments there.
The U.S. government has identified Chinese as a “critical-need language” that is crucial to maintaining the interests of peace and prosperity both here and abroad. Learning Chinese will not only open the door for a unique language and culture but also enhance your opportunity for employment!
