Forensic and Toxicological Chemistry Program Granted Full Accreditation

Under the guidance of the past and current chair of the Chemistry Department (Dr. Falcone and Dr. Frost, respectively), our Forensic and Toxicological Chemistry program has gained full accreditation by FEPAC (FEPAC Website). To quote from the FEPAC mission statement, "The mission of the Forensic Science Education Programs Accreditation Commission (FEPAC) is to maintain and to enhance the quality of forensic science education through a formal evaluation and recognition of college-level academic programs. The primary function of the Commission is to develop and to maintain standards and to administer an accreditation program that recognizes and distinguishes high quality undergraduate and graduate forensic science programs."

The members of the program committee for this major are Dr. Mahrukh Azam, Dr. Al Caffo, Dr. Jim Falcone, Dr. Blaise Frost, Dr. Tim Starn, and Dr. Karyn Usher. Full accreditation covers a five year period, to January 2010.
