Through the years additional conferences have been hosted by the University. An exceptionally popular one, Yom Hashoah (Day of Remembrance), was presented in April, 1998. It was at this time that a Polish woman whose family had risked their lives to save five Jews hidden beneath the floorboards of their home (among these being Sender Frejdowicz and Dr. Felix Zandman) was the honored speaker who came from Poland to describe reasons why her family risked their lives to save Jews. Among the many guests who have appeared as part of the programs at West Chester University and the National Association for Holocaust Education are: Vidal Sassoon, Mel Mermelstein, Dr. Felix Zandman, Congresswoman Elizabeth Holtzman, Saul Freedman, Walter Ronn, Robert Wolf, Franklin Littell, Marvin Wolfgang, Israel Charney and Elie Wiesel.

West Chester University has become an important center for Holocaust conferences and is recognized nationwide as the headquarters of the National Association for Holocaust Education. It is also distinguished for its academically outstanding classes on the Holocaust, its conferences, seminars, programs, speakers, and distance learning, as well as a center for Intermediate courses on teaching the subject.
