Abstract:
Two decades after he began work on the book that became The Man Who Knew Infinity, its author tells of the mathematical genius Ramanujan's ever-increasing presence in the cultural and scientific life of the West. Film, theater, literature and even dance have felt the spell of his story, while mathematicians continue to plumb his notebooks for its secrets.
