Job Title: Statistician

Summary: This role is responsible for successful delivery of Advanced VOC Analytics solutions and services to clients in Consumer Goods, Pharmaceuticals and Health Care industries.  
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Supervisory Responsibilities                                                 
While this position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities, the analyst will be required to work cross functionally in a matrix environment and be able to influence internal stakeholders in the course of delivering client services.

Education and/or Experience                                                

Experience applying advanced analytics techniques using methods such as Optimization, Simulation and predictive analytics

2+ years of experience in an advanced analytics consulting role (consulting to external clients and/or internal business partners


Experience with business intelligence and modeling applications including IBM Cognos, SPSS, SAS, Clarabridge.  Experience working with Nielsen and IRI data a plus. 


Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:  Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or Economics. MBA a plus.

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations, to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, and to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and associates. Fluency in spoken and written English.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts, such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Skills
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills/Technical Skills:                                                      
In addition to proficiency with BI and modeling applications, experience with other business applications, tools and data sources relevant to the job. This could include tools such as: Aspect ACD, Genesys, Oracle Tool Sets, Cognos, Astute, Siebel, Aspect Tool Sets, Crystal Reports, SQL, ETL Tools, Visio, HTML, Project Management Tools, eWFM and Sharepoint.  Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required to translate the results of the model into a business insight.
