PART-TIME STATISTICAL CONSULTING OPPORTUNITY
Title: Statistical Consulting Internship
Beyond Inference Statistical Consulting (BISC) is looking to provide a motivated graduate student with the opportunity to gain considerable hands-on experience in all aspects of statistical consulting through an internship position. Client projects span a broad range of the health sciences. Assignments include work in experimental study design, data analysis, power analyses, manuscript preparation, randomization scheme generation, and/or clinical study reporting. Student will initially work under the close guidance of an experienced statistician. On-the-job training will be provided as needed. Candidates should be available to meet at least once per week, depending on workload and complexity of project(s). Self-motivated and disciplined candidates required for this position, as successful remote working habits will be crucial to intern's performance. The opportunity may be short or long term, and may turn into a paid and/or permanent position contingent upon successful competition of the internship and exceptional professional development.
The ideal candidate should be pursuing a graduate degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Public Health, or related field.
The hours will vary on a weekly basis, depending on available work as well as student potential and ambition.
The ideal candidate should be available to meet at least once per week, depending on workload and the complexity of project(s).
The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of the SAS programming language.
Excellent SAS programming skills and/or practical experience working with SAS datasets
Ability to work independently and on a team
Is self-accountable for high-quality and timely results
