Position Overview:

Design and maintain risk management reports and analysis using SAS, Microsoft Excel, and other business analysis software. Manipulation of large data files (e.g., SAS, Access, Excel, etc.) to identify trends, make business recommendations, and to provide data extractions to business partners. Pro-actively contribute to the data management process through effective data research and analysis. Ability to lead and contribute to cross-functional project teams with a focus on improving data quality and reporting accuracy and efficiency. Support and lead efforts to automate manual processes through the use of VBA and SAS. Creation of analytical presentations and communication of strategic business findings to senior management.

Requirements
  • Design and maintain risk management reports and analysis using SAS, Microsoft Excel, and other business analysis software. Participate in the preparation of monthly reporting and research projects on credit risk and mortgage insurance.
  • Manipulation of large data files (e.g., SAS, Access, Excel, etc.) to identify trends, make business recommendations, and to provide data extractions to business partners.
  • Pro-actively contribute to the data management process through effective data research and analysis. Assist in improving data quality and report accuracy.
  • Creation of analytical presentations and communication of strategic business findings to senior management.
  • Support and lead efforts to automate manual processes through the use of VBA and SAS.

Education: Bachelor's degree

Experience: 3-5 years

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Expert analytical, problem solving and data management skills with abilities to digest vast amounts of data, manipulate it, and identify correlations though a variety of statistical techniques
  • Training / experience with SAS and / or other data analysis software (SQL, ORACLE, etc.)
  • Training / experience with Microsoft Office products; very high-level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Able to work in a team environment; balancing and prioritizing requests from multiple managers and departments within Radian
  • Excellent presentation skills (including oral and written) and ability to create meaningful management reports from various sources
  • Exceptional time management skills, able to respond to changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and accurately with a high regard for attention to detail
