Summer 2013/Fall 2013

 Internal Transfer Information

For those students who wish to transfer into Early Grades Preparation and Middle Grades Preparation

Students seeking internal transfer must have earned a minimum of 27 college-level credits with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.80. Students with 48 or more earned credits must have achieved passing scores, as established by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE), on PAPA*  and must have completed college-level studies in English composition (three credits).

Application materials will be accepted from April 29-May 10, 2013.

Please drop off the following materials to the graduate assistants in R 105A. Check the door for office hours.

  1.  A Change of Major form signed by your advisor and your current department chair. On your form, you must indicate whether you wish to transfer into Early Grades Preparation (EGP) or Middle Grades Preparation (MGP).  
  2. A copy of your PAPA* scores if you have completed these tests.

Additional materials will not be accepted (ex. Personal letters)

Applications will be reviewed after spring grades have been posted. Students will receive email notification of their admission status by June 15, 2013. Students admitted for summer 2013/fall 2013 will receive instructions about course scheduling via email in June 2013.

Students not eligible for the April/May transfer window may apply during the next admission window: September 3-September 13, 2013 for spring 2013 admission.

* Students who have completed Praxis I PPST examinations prior to April 2012 may use their passing Praxis I scores in lieu of PAPA.
