Stroud Water Research

Driven by the philosophy that understanding the science of fresh water is fundamental to our ability to protect the integrity of this finite and vital resource, the Stroud Water Research Center seeks to disseminate its research findings to its peers in the scientific and educational communities, as well as businesses, landowners, policy makers and individuals, to enable informed decision making that affects water quality and availability in our local communities and the world around us.

Plum Run Watershed

WCU is in the Plum Run Watershed. Its waterways flow on both North and South campus which have been impaired due to development and construction. Follow this link to find out how the Brandywine Valley Association's Red Streams Blue Program is taking steps to restore Plum Run.

The Brandywine Valley Association

The mission of the The Brandywine Valley Association is to promote the restoration, preservation, conservation and enjoyment of the natural resources of the Brandywine Valley through education programs, environmental studies and projects, and technological advocacy.

Chester - Ridley - Crum Watersheds Association

The Chester - Ridley - Crum Watersheds Association (CRC) is a nonprofit environmental organization located in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1970, CRC is the only watershed organization devoted to the protection of the water resources of the Chester, Ridley, and Crum Creek Valleys in both Chester and Delaware Counties.

Green Valleys Association

The Green Valleys Association's mission is to protect and preserve the quality and quantity of water resources in northern Chester County through advocacy and education.

Founded in 1964, GVA oversees 155 square miles of all five of Chester County's northern and eastern Schuylkill River watersheds. These five watersheds and their tributaries serve as the drinking water for more than 150,000 residents and run through some of the most important and productive fish, bird, amphibian, and other wildlife habitat in northern Chester County.
