Administrative Computing Services

Administrative Computing is one of five departments within Information Services and is responsible for supporting all of the University's Administrative and Business Systems. Administrative Computing uses technology to provide effective and efficient systems in support of the University's academic mission and business processes. By doing so, software, hardware, and middleware are engineered to meet University requirements.

Client Services

Client Services is strongly committed to providing outstanding computer support to West Chester University's faculty and staff. To achieve this goal, Client Services provides the following services and resources to assist the campus in their computing needs: software training, hardware/software support, video conferencing support, and multimedia support.

Content and Web Services

The Web Team is a group of web producers who assist with the technical design, production, and maintenance of web sites for West Chester University. Presently, the Web Team maintains over 14,000 web pages, while assisting with the development and maintenance of many more.

Networking & Telecommunications

The Networking & Telecommunications department, is responsible for the smooth operation of all networking and telecommunications services including: data communications strategic plan, disaster recovery procedures and systems, design, customization, support, and maintenance of the Data Center and communication infrastructure, Voice over IP Services, analog and digital phone lines, Campus e-mail Services, and Internet services.

Technical Services

The Technical Services department, is responsible for the seamless running of all technical services for campus including: desktop operations and computer labs supporting multiple computing platforms campus-wide, multimedia services providing audio/visual support for classrooms on campus, the digital media center, digital signage, lecture capture, video conferencing, RamCloud (aka Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, VDI) and design, budget, support, maintenance, and implementation of Tech Fee projects annually.
