D2L Request Forms

D2L Course Requests

D2L provides faculty with a multitude of options as it pertains to course management and creation. As D2L Support Staff seeks to provide you with optimum service and timely responses, we ask that university faculty and staff use the following forms to request your D2L course related needs. Please give the D2L support staff at least 24 hours to process your request.

Combine Course Request Form

Please use the Combine Course Request Form to complete your course combined request for D2L.
NOTE: You should only request the combination for sites in which you are the assigned faculty. Additionally, faculty must notify D2L each subsequent semester they wish to have the course combined. D2L support staff will not automatically renew this request.

You should only consider combining a course if:

  • You teach multiple sections of the same course
  • A course is cross-listed and has two different course numbers
  • You are co-teaching a course with another faculty member

Critical information:

  • Please do not start building your course (uploading content, creating quizzes, etc.) until your courses have been combined.
  • We do not recommend combining courses if students have already submitted work within a course. All student work such as quizzes, submissions and discussion posts will be lost when the courses are combined.
  • Courses must be taken offline in order to complete the course combine process. The combined course will be available after the next system refresh.

Development Course Request Form

A Development Course allows you to request a D2L course shell be created prior to the beginning of the semester. Official course shells for the upcoming semester become available to faculty members approximately two weeks prior to the course start date. This form should be used if a faculty member desires to begin developing his or her course prior to this two week window.

Organization Request Form

The Organizational Request Form should be used to request an organization in D2L. Organizations are course shells created specifically for department, student organizations, faculty organization and/or special committee use.
