Gretchen Studlien-Webb is the coordinator for the dance minor program in the Department of Theatre and Dance.  She has been on the faculty at WCU since 1991.  Gretchen is the advisor and director of the University Dance Company.  The company presents two full length concerts on campus each school year along with several smaller performances on and off campus.  Gretchen was invited to teach at the Ladek Zdroj International Dance Festival in Poland during the summer of 2006.  She is an active member of the American College Dance Festival, bringing 15-20 students to participate and perform each year in the regional festival.  Gretchen is active outside the University promoting dance through artist in residence programs and local performances. She has served as the VP of Dance for the Pennsylvania State Association of Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance.  Gretchen has performed and choreographed for several dance companies in Columbus, Ohio and the Greater Philadelphia Area.  She was an active Choreographer with ICE (Independent Choreographer’s Exchange) in Philadelphia from 1991-2002.
