Professor Bytnar's creative focus is in the areas of Directing, Music Theatre, and Acting.  In the past he has been recognized by the University and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for Exceptional Academic Service.  In addition he has been awarded five certificates of merit for Directing by the American College Theatre Festival (ACTF) sponsored by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.  Additional graduate courses in directing, music theatre, and theatre criticism and history were taken at the University of Illinois and Kent State University.
