Diane Delaney completed a Ph.D. in Music Education at Temple University, studying elementary general music teachers' reflections on instruction. As a teaching assistant at Temple University, she presented the Orff-Schulwerk, Kodály, and Dalcroze approaches to undergraduate music education students. She currently serves as Assistant Professor of Music Education at West Chester University, teaching elementary music methods and an integrated arts course for classroom teachers.

Diane Delaney has nine years experience teaching elementary general music and chorus in Delaware, Maryland, and Tennessee. She taught early childhood music at Towson University and through Temple University. She has earned certificates in Orff-Schulwerk (Level I, II, III, Steve Calantropio Master Class), Kodály (Level I, II),  Early Childhood Music (Gordon Institute for Music Learning), and has studied at the Carnegie Mellon Dalcroze Institute.

Diane Delaney has presented her research on kindergarten instruction and integration at PMEA and MENC on the regional and national levels. She served as the Delaware representative to the MENC Vision 2020 Conference. She has presented sessions on Music Learning Theory and singing research at AOSA National Conferences. Mrs. Delaney has presented workshops regionally on integration, grant writing, composition, and approaches to elementary general music. She has developed integrated arts programs and obtained visiting artists for children in the public schools. She has presented musical story hours and flute concerts for families through the Delaware public libraries.
