Patricia Powell is a performer, teacher, piano pedagogy consultant, and author who recently returned to the United States after living and working professionally in Oxford, England for over a decade. In addition to being a highly sought-after teacher, she is well known for her unique workshops and masterclasses on techniques for motivating and inspiring young pianists. As a performer she is best known for her solo and ensemble performances with the Oxford-based Arcadian Piano Trio. In addition to holding Piano Performance degrees, Ms. Powell was the recipient of a prestigious scholarship to read for the Honours degree in Music at Oxford University. She recently moved to the West Chester area where she is teaching, consulting, and working to complete her D.M.A. in Piano, Pedagogy and Chamber Music from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
