Curriculum Vitae
Jonathan Fowler is the tuba and euphonium instructor at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. He holds degrees from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (BM), Temple University (MM) and Rutgers University. His principal teachers include Timothy Northcut, Jay Krush and Scott Mendoker.
Dr. Fowler has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Orchestra of St. Luke’s, New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, Richmond Symphony, West Virginia Symphony, Reading Symphony, Orchestra of St. Cecilia’s, Opera Theatre of New Jersey, Westfield Symphony and Colonial Symphony and Orchestra Teatro Grattacielo. He has been the principal tuba player for the Symphony in C (formerly Haddonfield Symphony) since 2001.
Jonathan also plays regularly with some of the tri-state area’s most reputable chamber ensembles including Solid Brass, Grammercy Brass Orchestra and Hora Decima Brass. Dr. Fowler can be heard on the Naxos, Bridge and Mark Custom record labels.
