Artist's Statement As an art historian, I am interested in classical women as subjects and artists, roles of multiculturalism and global issues in the arts created by diverse groups and the influence of mythology on image making. Because of my travel and experiences related to anthropology, archaeology and art my creative work in woodblock prints and other media reveal influences from a variety of sources. Representations of women inspire me when mythology, literature, or lyrics support the images similar to my writing style, which is animated by depictions of women in ancient art.
