The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered Concerns Committee is a group of faculty, staff, administrators and students who work together as advocates for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people at West Chester University. The committee is charged with the following functions:

identify lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered equity issues,
work with appropriate campus agencies to create a safe campus for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people,
suggest, develop and implement educational programs,
promote an awareness and understanding of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered issues,
explore the possibilities of curriculum of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered issues.

The committee will make recommendations to appropriate channels within the University when concerns arise regarding these areas. These functions are in keeping with and enhancing the mission of West Chester University.
